BESS Deployment by Geography (GW / GWh by Region) The charts show annual new BESS capacity additions by region. China dominated with over half of global capacity deployments. North America maintained a stable second position in energy capacity (MWh), though the gap with Europe is much smaller in MW terms, indicating that US deployments favor longer-duration batteries on average. The Middle East, led by Saudi Arabia, showed a remarkable boom concentrated in just the last two years, rapidly closing the gap with APeC installations.
