Frequent BESS Non Conformities Found During Factory Acceptance Testing BESS require rigorous testing to identify non conformities (NCs). Most NCs are related to the safety systems of the BESS.
During the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of BESS production by third party quality control company, the NCs are classified as Critical(*)/ Major(**) / Minor(***) / Opportunity for Improvement.
Safety systems comprise 20% of non-conformities
Depending on contract struction, buyer can require corrective actions from the manufacturer for NCs before shipping
FAT’s capacity tests shows that 66% of BESS projects missed at least one acceptance criteria not met.
