A New Material Player, Production Implementation, Demo Line, Development Grant, and Industrial Standard Feb 2025
Elevated Materials, a US battery material company, with a manufacturing facility in Germany, is spun out of Applied Materials, manufacturing roll-to-roll lithium thin films for pre-lithiation and Li-metal anodes.
April 2025
CORNEX, a Chinese battery company, debuts a 472Ah BESS LFP cell with “cathode pre-lithium”, a proprietary formula not publicly disclosed. The cell’s energy density is claimed to be 195 Wh/kg.
Sept 2025
Nanoscale Components, a US battery equipment company, commissions its GWh-scale roll-to-roll electrochemical pre-lithiation line for trials of its process equipment.
Graphenix Development Inc., a US battery material company, with a manufacturing facility in the Netherlands, is awarded a $100k grant from the NSF to integrate lithium iron oxide (LFO) into high-Ni cathode material to pre-lithiate its 100% silicon anodes.
and others The world's first national standard for a lithium supplementation technology was implemented in China, for lithium-rich lithium ferrite (LFO). It was jointly developed by CATL, Gotion, and a host of Chinese lithium and cathode material producers.
