Asian Listed Battery Companies Gaining Market Value & Market Share Over the past year, Chinese-listed battery manufacturers and materials companies outperformed their domestic equity markets as they continued to consolidate global market share in EVs, energy storage, and data-center batteries. Strong global demand, supported by AI-driven power build-out and accelerating electrification, has allowed leading Chinese players to expand capacity, secure customers, and raise new capital, including through Hong Kong IPOs such as CATL’s $5bn listing in 2025. In contrast, non-Chinese Asian battery manufacturers have faced pricing pressure and slower growth, while Korean battery materials suppliers have outperformed by supplying both Chinese and global OEMs.
