Battery Industry H-1B Visa Holders Are Not Being Underpaid Compared to U.S. Citizens

H-1B visa holders are not being utilized as "cheap labor" compared to U.S. citizens according to this dataset. These results suggest that H-1B talent is being hired for specialized and high-value roles. This analysis represents original work for the Battery Report. The raw dataset used is obtained from the Battery Talent Census. Total Annual Income is based on responses to the question “What is your total income over the past 12 months?” Inset labels show median annual income within each group.
