Cell & Pack Global Average Selling Prices Fell in 2025, Despite Rising Raw Material Prices
REAL 2025 $ PER KILOWATT-HOUR
Source: Data from BloombergNEF (Distinguished Partner). For more information, visit https://about.bnef.com/contact-us. Note: Historical prices have been adjusted using June 2024 to June 2025 inflation rates based on US Consumer Price Index (CPI) index.
Cell and pack sales prices fell to all time lows in 2025 due to continued improvement in cell chemistry and manufacturing processes overcoming slight raw material price increases.
ESS pack prices remained the lowest on the market at $70/kWh, with average BEV packs just below the $100/kWh mark.
LFP packs, $81/kWh, were significantly cheaper than their NMC counterparts at $128/kWh.
Chinese pack prices are world leading at $84/kWh, highlighting the high proportion of LFP packs used in China.
In contrast, packs in Europe were the most expensive, being sold at just over $131/kWh, with North America coming in at $120/kWh.
